Cookie Policy
How we use cookies on srcagrominerals.com, and how to control them.
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains how SRC Agrominerals ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on this website. It covers cookies only — for how we handle personal information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
Because this website is operated from Ontario, Canada, and serves visitors across Canada and internationally, our cookie practices are guided by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and PIPEDA, with specific attention to implied and express consent where personal data is involved. We do not specifically target EU residents, but we apply the principle of meaningful consent to all optional tracking.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. Some cookies are set by us directly; others are set by third-party services we use.
Similar technologies — such as pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage — may also be used for comparable purposes and are covered by this policy.
Categories we use
We use cookies in the following categories:
| Category | Purpose | Consent required |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core site functions: page navigation, security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. | No — always active |
| Analytics | Help us measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (e.g. Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager). | Yes — optional |
We do not currently use advertising or targeting cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and renewed consent will be sought.
Specific cookies set
The following cookies may be present on your device when visiting this site:
| Cookie name | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Persists session state. | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users within a 24-hour window. | 24 hours |
| Session cookies | SRC Agrominerals | Maintain state during a single browsing session (e.g. contact form tokens). | Session only |
Cookie names and retention periods may change when providers update their services. Analytics cookies are only loaded if you have consented.
Third-party services
When you consent to analytics cookies, Google may set cookies on your device. Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses where possible. For more detail, see Google's Privacy Policy.
We use Google Tag Manager to deploy analytics. Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data — it simply loads other tags once you consent.
Data transfers outside Canada
Google Analytics may transfer and store data in the United States and other countries. By consenting to analytics cookies, you acknowledge that your browsing data (including anonymized IP information) may be processed outside Canada, subject to Google's data protection commitments. We have no control over Google's data handling once data is transmitted to them.
Managing your preferences
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through your settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
- Do Not Track: Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We honour this signal by not loading optional analytics cookies when it is detected.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes or when legislation requires it. Material changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
